About us

Creating a movement of change amongst Cumbrian professionals

Trauma Informed Cumbria is a not-for-profit partnership that aims to improve organisational responses to trauma across Cumbria.

Our aim is to support the recovery and wellbeing of people affected by trauma, by supporting businesses and public services to develop safe, trauma-informed services.

We do this through training, evidence and best practice – informed by evidence and those with lived experience.

Our partnership is led by The Birchall Trust and Safety Net, two local charities providing therapeutic recovery services for people who have experienced rape, sexual assault, sexual exploitation and domestic abuse.
